How do I qualify for Meals on Wheels?

Our program is designed for Elderly and or Disabled individuals who are unable to prepare or obtain meals for themselves.

 To qualify;

  1. Be over the age of 18.
  2. Be home bound and unable to meet basic nutritional needs be either temporarily or long term.
  3. Have no other reliable means of obtaining your daily meals.

How much does it cost?

Our Meals cost $5 each  and include an entree, a choice of soup or salad and a desert.

Is Meals on Wheels covered by medicare?

 Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) does not cover Meals on Wheels.  

Can I Pay with Food Stamps?

No, meals on wheels cannot accept food stamps. 

Is Meals on Wheels funded by State or Federal government?

While some Meals on Wheels locations are, Meals on Wheels of Charlotte County is not.  We rely solely on donations and proceeds from donations sold in our Thrift Store.
